Terms of Use
Effective date: November 1, 2026
1. Provider
Caffeinate is provided by Object (Representative: Jaemyeong Jin, Business Registration No. 113-59-00420). Contact: contact@object.so
2. Service
Caffeinate is a utility that prevents a Mac from sleeping. Features differ by distribution channel. Staying awake with the lid closed is available only in the direct edition. Installing both editions on one Mac isn't supported.
3. Trial and license (direct edition)
- You can try the app for 14 days after installation. After that, a license is required to turn on sleep prevention.
- The license is a one-time purchase granted non-exclusively to the purchaser. It may not be transferred or resold.
- You may use it on the purchaser's own Macs.
- Updates within version 3.x are free.
4. Payment
The seller of the direct edition is Paddle.com Market Limited, which handles payment and tax. Paddle's terms also apply to payment. Payments and refunds for the App Store edition follow Apple's policies.
4-1. App Store buyers
App Store edition buyers can receive a free direct edition license by emailing their receipt to contact@object.so. We issue one license per receipt. A forged receipt or a refunded purchase gives no right of use. We may end this offer with prior notice; licenses already issued are not affected.
5. Refunds
You can request a refund of the direct edition within 14 days of purchase by emailing contact@object.so with your purchase email address. A refund ends your right to use the license. This section does not limit rights granted to you by law.
6. Prohibited conduct
Forging licenses, bypassing signature checks, and redistributing the app are prohibited.
7. Usage cautions
Using a Mac with the lid closed or in a bag can cause overheating or drain the battery quickly. Check your environment before turning on this feature.
8. Liability
We are liable under applicable law for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence. In other cases, our liability is limited to the amount you paid.
9. Changes
We will announce changes on the website before they take effect.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are resolved in the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
